Continuous Learning and Engagement, Be part of the Impaakt Community

Now that you’ve earned your CIR certification, your journey with Impaakt is just beginning. There’s so much more to explore and engage with. You can participate in our focused rating campaigns, track your progress and set personal milestones with the rating streak feature, earn SDG and industry badges to showcase your expertise, connect and collaborate with other community members on Slack, and dive deeper into specific rating topics that interest you to continually grow your knowledge.

1.  Rating Campaigns

At Impaakt, we occasionally run dedicated rating campaigns focused on specific topics, SDGs, industries, or companies. These campaigns aim to raise awareness around critical themes such as Climate Change or Life on Land, or to assess the materiality of a particular company. Each campaign typically lasts around a month and includes webinars, curated rating content, milestones, and rewards to enhance your knowledge and skills in the chosen area.

Every community member may be invited to participate, especially when the focus is on broader topics or SDGs. However, for campaigns centered on assessing a company’s materiality, we may select top contributors. These campaigns bring the community together for a shared purpose, helping build expertise in specific areas, earn badges, and contribute to impactful discussions around environmental and social issues.

2.  Rating Streak

We’ve introduced a “rating streak” feature that tracks the number of consecutive days you’ve rated at least one analysis. It records both your current streak and your longest streak ever. This feature is a great way to monitor your progress and set personal milestones. You can also participate in community-wide streak challenges and milestones through our Slack group, adding a fun and engaging element to your rating experience.

3.  SDG & Industry Badges

SDG and Industry Badges are designed to showcase your expertise in specific sustainability topics or industries.  SDG Badges highlight your understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are key global objectives aimed at addressing pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. By consistently rating analyses related to a particular SDG,  such as Climate Action (SDG 13) or Life Below Water (SDG 14),  you can earn badges that demonstrate your knowledge and contribution to these critical areas. The badges reflect your engagement with impactful topics and your ability to assess how companies contribute to—or detract from—these goals.

Industry Badges work similarly but focus on sector-specific expertise. Whether you specialize in Consumer Goods, Financials, Infrastructure, or another industry, these badges allow you to demonstrate in-depth knowledge about the material impacts within a particular sector. Industry Badges reflect your proficiency in assessing how companies within these industries affect their stakeholders and the environment, giving you a recognized credential for your specialized understanding.

Both SDG and Industry Badges provide a visible way to track your progress and contributions within the Impaakt community.  Earning these badges not only validates your expertise but also positions you as a leader in specific areas of impact analysis.

4.  Networking on Slack & E-mail Newsletters

Slack is our primary platform for engaging with over 4,000 raters in the community. It’s where you can join discussions, take part in rating campaigns, ask for help, provide feedback, and get answers to questions about analyses, topics, or SDGs. You’ll also have direct communication with Anna, our community manager, and stay informed about events and opportunities. If you need help setting up your Slack account or want to have more information about our Community, contact Anna at anna-helena.chaim@impaakt.com .

On another note, be sure to subscribe to our email newsletter to receive important updates and news about community activities.

5.  Building Rating skills for specific topics

Once you complete your rating certification process, you may find it overwhelming to tackle the extensive list of impact topics to analyze. To help you excel at rating all of them, we are developing personalized Rating Guides. These guides will provide you with specific rating skills to apply to different impact topics. Honing your critical thinking skills, creating diverse rating metrics, and becoming an expert in various topics will enable you to produce quality ratings and utilize the resulting expertise for personal or professional benefit.
