Key Takeaways

SDG Badges are certifications showcasing expertise in assessing companies' impacts across various SDGs.

These badges are displayed on your Impaakt profile, along with your other certifications and personal information.

To earn an SDG badge, you need to complete 30 quality ratings of analyses related to one specific SDG. You can earn up to 17 SDG badges.

What are SDG Badges?

SDG Badges are certifications that highlight your proficiency in assessing companies' impact across various UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What are the detailed steps for getting an SDG Badge?

  1. Choose an SDG: From the "Explore" tab in Impaakt's navigation menu, pick one of the 17 SDGs you wish to focus on. You may also simply click here to see all 17 SDGs.
  2. Rate Analyses: Rate a total of 30 analyses related to your chosen SDG. These ratings must meet our quality-check criteria.
  3. Badge Display: Your earned badges will be showcased on your Impaakt profile, with unachieved badges appearing uncolored.
  4. Share Achievements: You are welcome to share your badges on a variety of platforms. Click on the pink button with an arrow under your selected badge and choose whichever service you prefer.

Tips for a succesful experience

To get the most out of your SDG Badges, there are a few tips to take into consideration.

1. Rate carefully 🔎

To earn a badge, rate 30 analyses meeting our quality standards. Consistency matters; your ratings must align with our criteria. Inconsistent and incoherent ratings won't contribute to your certification, thus, keep your reading time and ratings consistent.

2. Rate actively 💡

SDG Badges aim to prioritize active over passive reading. Contextualize your reading, and compare analyses across industries and in scale. This will likely help you achieve consistency, enhance your critical thinking, and cultivate knowledge regarding the SDGs.

3. Take the topics from each SDG into consideration 🤔

Notice that under one SDG there are a variety of topics that you can choose from. If you wish to build skills and learn about specific topics, use the topic selector. For a comprehensive list of topics per SDG, refer to this article.

Disclaimer: Impact topics are a set of social and environmental impacts identified by the Impaakt Team to provide an additional layer of complex insight into measuring current impact. They range from general themes like Greenhouse Gas emissions and Job Creation to industry-specific topics such as Gentrification and Water Pollution. Check our Frameworks section for more information.

4. Enhance your experience with the Knowledge Center 📚
